WINZ INFORMATION

The Childcare Subsidy is for pre-school children under 5 (or under 6 if you get a Child Disability Allowance for them).

You will need to apply as soon as you think you need a subsidy because WINZ cannot backdate payments, so it is a good idea to apply 3-4 weeks before you need your subsidy to start.

To apply call free on 0800 559 009.  WINZ will send you an application form and explain more about how they can help.  They will also set up a meeting for you with one of their Case Managers.
