Find an Education and Care Centre

The Park Early Education Centre is a spacious purpose built Centre in Hamilton East. It has four areas Babies, Toddlers, Kindergarten and Transition to School.  It has solar panels to provide some of the hot water and heating. All children’s areas have under floor heating.

The Centre backs on to Galloway Park which children use for supervised sports, walks and exploration.

The outdoor environment has grassed areas for all ages. There is climbing equipment and swings for physical challenges and a large, interesting water and sand area. The gardens are full of edible plants and trees. The fruits and vegetables are used in the children’s baking and within our cook’s nutritious Healthy Heart menu. We cater for children with special dietary requirements.

The qualified teaching team are committed to delivering a quality Care and Education programme for your child. We are guided by the Waikato Kindergarten Association’s Strategic Plan, Te Whaariki (Early Childhood Curriculum), Kei Tua o te Pae (The Learning Dispositions), Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our Centre Philosophy.

Our Philosophy recognizes the importance of the community in the programme. We encourage community and family involvement in the Care and Education of the children at The Park. The children visit local places of interest and local schools, helping with the transition to school process.  

The educational programme focuses on your child’s strengths and interests, this encourages an enthusiasm for learning, independently and collaboratively. We incorporate literacy, maths, science, the arts and te reo within the planned and spontaneous learning opportunities. We encourage respect for the environment and each other.  The Baby Room uses a ‘Primary Care’, RIE Pikler philosophy this helps your baby form very important secure attachments and encourages exploration and persistence.
