Find an Education and Care Centre

Te Rapa Early Education Centre is a purpose built all day care and education centre providing inclusive, high quality early childhood education and care for children from 3 months to school age. We operate separate infants, toddlers and kindergarten areas to enhance children’s learning.

The centre is staffed by trained, qualified teachers who are knowledgeable in all aspects of early childhood education and of the early childhood curriculum Te Whäriki.  The programme is based on planned experiences and on is responsive to children’s individual interests and needs.  

Te Rapa Early Education Centre are the proud recipients of The National Heart Foundation of New Zealand Healthy Heart Award.  This recognises our commitment to creating an environment that promotes healthy food and physical activity.

Large, separate grassed playgrounds stimulate children’s imaginations and provide room for children to explore and enjoy.  Gardening is also an important part of the programme and our cook provides nutritious healthy meals for all our children (the menu can be adapted to meet children’ special dietary requirements).
