At the age of 2 your child is eligible to be enrolled in a kindergarten. The age that your child starts kindergarten will differ in each kindergarten. In some kindergartens children may start afternoon kindergarten at 3 years, whereas in another kindergarten, starting age may be 3 years 10 months. It is dependent upon the numbers of children wishing to attend that particular kindergarten. You may consider another of our 29 kindergartens if you want an earlier starting age.
20 free hours is provided in all our kindergartens. Families who use their 'free hours' in another centre will be required to pay $2.50 - $4.00 per hour fees. These fees are compulsory.
You may be able to access the WINZ Childcare Subsidy at some of our kindergartens. When you enrol your child talk to the staff about obtaining a WINZ Childcare Subsidy.
