In short, the government has setup a scheme which allows all children over three years old to have 20 hours a week of free early childhood education in all our Kindergartens Waikato, Early Education Waikato centres and Homebased Education –  yes, you heard right, the government will pay for your child to attend 20 hours a week free of charge!

Of course, there are conditions (eg. a max of 6 hours a day), but this is not based on how much you earn, or whether you work outside the home, etc.

You may also be eligible for the Childcare Subsidy, however families getting 20 hours Early Childhood Education (ECE) can't get the Childcare Subsidy for the same hours. Check what you might get here.
